After expanding its presence in the German-speaking vertical via the purchase of Wett Portal in September, Better Collective is now set to enter the Romanian market with the acquisition of local online sports betting affiliates services provider PariuriX. Established in 2004, Copenhagen-based Better Collective is a developer of digital platforms for the betting tip, bookmaker information and iGaming communities. It declared that the recently-regulated Romanian market has been ‘showing great growth and an increase in the betting market’ and that it had recently obtained a local affiliates license in order to capitalize on this success.
Better Collective described PariuriX as a ‘market leader and household brand name within the industry’ before stating that its purchase represented ‘the perfect opportunity for entry’ into the Romanian market. “With the acquisition of PariuriX, Better Collective immediately becomes a leading sports betting affiliate in Romania,” read a statement from Michal Kopec, Mergers and Acquisitions Head for Better Collective. “Adding another regulated market to the portfolio of the company is an important strategic step.”
Better Collective declared that PariuriX had developed into ‘a trustworthy brand’ since being established by local entrepreneur Marius Cadar in 2006 and that this was one of the main reasons behind its decision to purchase the operation. “We are very happy that we are taking over a well-established and recognized brand,” read the statement from Kopec. “The previous owner, Marius Cadar, has done a great job in developing PariuriX and Better Collective will now use all available resources to drive this product and brand forward.”
Better Collective moreover entered the United Kingdom market in September after purchasing online casino affiliates innovator CasinoLounge.co.uk and proclaimed that its most recent acquisition would be ‘mutually beneficial’ for its own BettingExpert.com product and lead to ‘growth on both sides’.
