Carlo Ancelotti is now back at his old club again at Real Madrid after officially being announced as the new manager four daya ago.
The Italian manager replaces Frenchman Zinedine Zidane after leaving Madrid without any trophies, and has signed a three-year contract.
“I’m very happy to be back here. I’ve got fantastic memories from my time here, we had a lot of success in the two years. It’s very important because I’m coming back to my home. I’m really excited and I’m going to give all my energy to help Real Madrid get as high as possible.” Ancelotti said.
“I’ve got responsibility, hope and I’m going to work to the best of my ability. We know what Real Madrid’s objectives are every year and we’re going to try to meet them with all the experience and energy I can bring.
“I’m so happy to be back because I love this club. I’m very happy and it’s hard to explain how I feel.” Ancelotti added.
Ancelotti won two Club World Cup and a Copa Del Rey during his first spell at Santiago Bernabeu. He is keen to win more trophies next with Madrid.
“Madrid is the most prestigious club in the world and a club where I really enjoyed the two years I was here. I’ve got unforgettable memories.” Ancelotti said.
“I want to give support to all the players and offer them the best I’ve got. Everyone who works here carries a responsibility to train and play for the best team in the world. It’s a responsibility we all have to accept.” he added.
The 66-year-old manager was very popular with Everton’s fans who were elated that a manager of such pedigree would join them.
“I have to thank Everton, where I was very happy during the two and a half years I was there. The atmosphere was positive and the people were hard-working.” Ancelotti said.
