Dustin Poirier Agrees Trilogy Fight with Conor McGregor

Former UFC lightweight champion Conor McGregor had a hard time after being knocked out by Dustin Poirier at UFC 257 on January 23. However, there is talk of the possibility of a trilogy fight between the two, which may happen next summer.

The American’s footwork diminished the Irishman’s performance, who left a bad impression in that fight. Something has changed in McGregor that his last appearances above a battle area have not been all good.

In the above, Poirier agrees, who welcomes the trilogy fight against McGregor, to determine once and for all who is the best.

In the Joe Rogan podcast, Poirier insisted that he sees two versions of McGregor and opted for one, with which he would like to fight again, because now his behavior seems to change, mainly due to the family issue.

Poirier Believed that McGregor is not the same as before, when he generated many controversial situations.

“The fight in itself is somewhat eventful. Conor being calmer, for me it was a smooth path to the fight.” Poirier said.

“He was the same before fighting Cowboy [Donald Cerrone]. I thought I was just maturing; now she has a child and another on the way. We all change and I may be a different person,” Poirier added.

Although the UFC president Dana White insisted that the fight could be next summer, Poirier shared that there are still details to be fixed, especially economically.

“It’s going to be a great fight, he knocked me out, I knocked him out. Now the trilogy. Without a doubt one of the most important fights of this year, and perhaps of all time. I think the trilogy makes a lot of sense and will bring in a lot of money,” Poirier said.
