Erling Haaland’s impressive performance with Manchester City continues to be in the spotlight.

Ilkay Gundogan says that Erling Haaland will be a key player for his team in their bid to win the 2022/23 Champions League.
Gundogan and Haaland will be preparing to face their former club at Borussia Dortmund in their 2nd match in the Champions League.

But Guardiola insists Haaland will only regard his time at Manchester City as a success had he won trophies even though he continues to break goalscoring records.
“What he has done in Norway, Austria and Germany, he is trying to do here,” said Guardiola. “His first contact with the ball, he scored. We already knew that.”
“He always scores goals. He can be stopped when we don’t play well. We tried to play in a proper way because we created chances for our talented players up front to score goals.”
“I think what we want is to be champions. Knowing so little, I don’t know if he’s happy to break records if we don’t win. If we play well, he has more chances.”
