Jorge Martin Is Confident of Contract Renewal Following His Great Shape So Far

Jorge Martin is confident that his impressive performance in MotoGP will give him a significant advantage during contract negotiations for the 2025 season.

His continued success in the French Grand Prix sprint has further solidified his position as the championship leader, enhancing his bargaining power for the future.

“Well, I don’t know. I am the leader of the championship so I guess till now I was the strongest.” Martin said.

“I think at the end of the season is when I’ll start to think about the championship.

“For sure it’s important to be in the lead, but I think it will be interesting when we have the chance to win the championship.” Martin added.

Martin, known for his tenacity and determination, entered the Sunday grand prix with high hopes.

Having put in consistent performances throughout the season, he had every reason to believe that he could achieve a strong result.

However, the sprint race brought unexpected challenges, leaving Martin and his team pondering the need for improvement.

“I am super happy. I think we did an amazing performance to the sprint. Tomorrow will be interesting to understand where we are on Sundays, but you also score points on Saturday, so it’s super important to be fast.” Martin said.

“I am confident, I think we have some good information for tomorrow’s race because I didn’t feel as good as this morning on the front.

“I was losing a bit on the edge grip, it was much less than this morning.” Martin added.

With an impressive performance in the latest races, the Pramac rider has surged ahead, building a substantial 28-point lead over his closest competitors.

Martin continued his impressive performance at the Le Mans MotoGP by claiming pole position, even after a late crash during qualifying.

Francesco Bagnaia secured second place, but the reigning world champion was far behind Martin’s time.
