Jose Mourinho insists to open the door for new players in summer transfer window

Jose Mourinho’s side are still 16 points behind of English Premier League leaders Chelsea and the Portuguese manager is already planning how to cut the gap next season this summer. With the Red Devils financial strength, former Real Madrid manager has many ideas and he knows how he can strengthening his squad at the upcoming summer transfer.

Last summer, Manchester United had signed Henrikh Mkhitaryan with 42 million euoros, Eric- Bailly with 38 million euros, Paul Pogba with 105 million euros, and former PSG stars, Zlatan- Ibrahimovic with free transfer.

Even though this major investment did not pay off at the start of the season, Manchester United have been ramping up in recent months and are still struggling in the Premier League to be in the Top 4, while being qualified for the quarter-finals of the Europa League. Mourinho’s side are strong favorites to go all the way in the tournament.

“I know that by the end of the summer, I would not necessarily have my first choice because it’s hard to make every attempt. But I’m sure we will do something interesting that will improve the quality of our team ,” Mourinho told media.

“I am not a crazy coach who will say, ‘I give you names and you give me these players’. I give names, options and second choices. I give all this information based on my analyzes, my experiences and my projections on the future. I think we will be ready in July to open the door for two or three good players.” Mourinho added.
