The Predator World 10-Ball Championship returns to the Rio All-Suites Hotel and Casino, in Las Vegas. The 2020 event will be the second edition of the Predator World 10-Ball Championship and will be an additional US$100,000 WPA Category 1 World Championship event limited to 64 of the worl’’s best players.
Ko Pin-Yi is one of the many players at the Diamond Las Vegas Open who will play on March 16-20. The 2015 world champion lost to German Joshua Filler 10–8 in the 2019 semifinals. His brother Ko Ping-Chung won the event, beating Filler 10-7 in the final and winning a US$30,000.
There is no doubt that the 30-year-old is one of the best pool players in the world so far. During his heyday, he was undoubtedly the most popular figure in the world of billiards and to this day many call him the best player in the world.
In 2011, Ko beat American Shane Van Boening in the 2011 GWSOP final. His career improved when Ko beat British player Jayson Shaw by 11-9 in the 2019 World-Ball China Open final.
Back at the Diamond Las Vegas Open 2020, Ko struggled hard until the quarter-finals, where he lost to Justin Bergman 7-5. In this edition he clearly wants to improve his levels of performance to the final round.
The Predator World 10-Ball Championship features 64 players, with entries selected from the ranking list for the tour of the players, such as the World Pool Association and the Euro. This event will be played as a double elimination tournament with up to 16 players remaining, becoming a single elimination tournament.
The semi-finals and finals will be held on March 20, the last day of the competition. The reigning champion, Ping-Chung, is chasing his second consecutive World 10-Ball Championship victory in a row as he prepares to defend his crown this March.
