Manchester United Win Over Everton in the English Premier League

Manchester United managed to beat Everton 2-1 in the Premier League at Old Trafford on Sunday (28/10). Paul Pogba became the star of victory in this match. Manchester United scored the first goal through Paul Pogba in the 27th minute. Pogba who is believed to be a penalty executor failed to carry out his duties properly. Pogba’s kick to the right of the goal was blocked by Jordan Pickford. But the wild ball returned to Pogba. The Frenchman coldly sent the wild ball into the goal.

Winning a goal in the first half, Manchester United successfully increased the advantage to 2-0 in the 49th minute. Anthony Martial listed his name on the scoreboard following Pogba.

Martial’s goal was also inseparable from Pogba’s foresight in seeing the flow of the attack. When mastering the ball in front of the penalty box, Pogba saw Martial on the right side of the Everton defense having a fairly free position. The ball from Pogba immediately greeted the kick towards the far post. The ball slid into the left corner of the goal without being blocked by Pickford.

Everton finally scored in the 77th minute. A foul on Richarlison resulted in a penalty for Everton. Gylfi Sigurdsson, who was the executor, was able to carry out his duties well. Sigurdsson fired a shot into the top left corner, while David De Gea moved in the opposite direction.

In the remaining time, Everton are still trying hard to score equalizing goals. Manchester United also try to find a third goal that can lock the victory. In injury time, Martial escaped escorting Everton’s back line and faced one on one with Pickford. But a Martial kick from close range could be thwarted by Pickford.

2-1 score can finally be maintained by Manchester United until the game is over. Thanks to the victory at the Old Trafford Stadium, Man United have now collected 17 points and are ranked eighth. The Red Devils are two points ahead of Everton who are ranked ninth. Man United are still four points behind European zone residents who are in the top five.

Here’s an interesting fact after Man United won over Everton:
