Diego Maradona’s son Sinagra Maradona has believed that his father’s level of football is on a different level than that of superstar Lionel Messi.
Messi and Maradona are both ranked among the greatest players of all time. But the famous player who passed away in November 2020 is more than Messi in one point, which is the World Cup title with Argentina.
“Only those who do not watch and do not understand football compare Messi to my father.” Sinagra said.
“I don’t want to add fuel to the fire about Messi. But we’re talking about two players from other planets.
“Messi is the best player in human history and I appreciate him, but my dad isn’t even a human. That’s the difference.” Sinagra added.
Sinagra was born on September 20, 1986 in Naples, the illegitimate child of Maradona with native woman Cristiana Sinagra.
He is leading Napoli United club in the Italian fifth division. Sinagra still has a lot of love for Argentina in the 2022 World Cup despite being Italian.
“I was devastated after Argentina’s defeat. I can’t believe this is real, when the team lost to Saudi Arabia.” Sinagra added.
“The Argentine players looked scared. That’s football, sometimes the weaker teams win.” he added.
Maradona is the best player of the 20th century, voted by FIFA in 2000 with an overwhelming vote of 53.60%, compared to runner-up Pele 18.53%. He helped Napoli win the scudetto in 1987 and 1990, after winning the 1986 World Cup with Argentina.
The former Barcelona superstar also owns the best goal of the 20th century, scoring the second goal against England in the quarter-finals of the 1986 World Cup.
But, he died at the age of 60 from a stroke on November 25, 2020, after a long treatment for heart and liver disease.
