Marquez Doubts Ducati Bike

Marc Marquez (Repsol Honda) has doubts about the Ducati motorbike that he will start using in MotoGP 2024. He conveyed this after the 2023 Australian MotoGP on 20-22 October 2023.

As is known, the racer who has worn the Honda uniform for 11 years has decided to move to Gresini Racing starts the 2024 season. The racer who has won eight world titles in various classes has doubts about his prospective motorbike next season which will have a Ducati engine.

“You never know. Until now I still have doubts. I will continue to doubt until I try the motorbike. But this is normal. This is a big decision,” said Marquez on Monday (23/10/2023). “You have question marks and doubts in your head. You think, maybe 11 years of riding one type of bike, I have to adjust a lot of things in my riding style to adapt.”

Even though he has doubts in his head, the man nicknamed The Baby Alien admits Ducati’s greatness in the last two seasons. Marquez does not doubt the speed of the Ducati riders, especially Francesco Bagnaia and Jorge Martin, who are currently competing to win the 2023 MotoGP world title. “The current Ducati riders are very fast. Martin is very fast. Bagnaia is also very fast,” he said.

This is also proven by the results of the race at the Phillip Island Circuit, Saturday (21/10/2023). Three Ducati riders managed to dominate the 2023 Australian MotoGP podium. Johan Zarco emerged as the winner, followed by Bagnaia, and Fabio Di Giannantonio, whose position at Gresini will be replaced by Marquez.

For information, in the 2024 season, Marquez will be on the same team as his younger brother, Alex Marquez. While riding a Honda motorbike, Marc Marquez has collected six MotoGP world champion titles.

The racer born in Cervera, Spain, just finished 15th in the 2023 Australian MotoGP race at the Phillip Island Circuit last weekend. During the 2023 season, Marquez’s best achievement was when he raced in the 2023 Japanese MotoGP. At that time, Marquez managed to climb the third podium.

MotoGP 2023 only has four of the total 20 race series remaining. After Australia, MotoGP races will take place in Thailand, Malaysia, Qatar and Spain.
