As the 2024 MotoGP season approaches, Michelin is gearing up to unleash their latest tyre offerings onto the track.

With a focus on performance and reliability, these new tyres are set to give riders the edge they need to chase victory and glory.

From enhanced grip on different track surfaces to improved wet weather performance, riders can expect even better handling and control with Michelin’s future tire offerings.

As the expiry date of Michelin’s tyre contract with MotoGP approaches, the renewal process is a high-stakes game of strategy and foresight.

“We’re very proud to continue our partnership with Michelin until at least 2026.” Dorna Sports boss Carmelo Ezpeleta said.

“Michelin has been a vital partner for MotoGP since it became the tyre supplier to the premier class in 2016, helping us to create one of the greatest eras of competition in motorcycle Grand Prix racing history.

“I’m delighted that we will reach a decade of collaboration and I hope we can continue building on this incredible foundation together. This agreement is fantastic news for all of us in the Championship.” Ezpeleta added.

Michelin’s longstanding partnership with MotoGP has been a defining element of the premier motorcycle racing series, shaping the performance and dynamics of the sport for years.

As the tyre contract between Michelin and MotoGP is set to expire in 2026, the racing world is abuzz with speculation and anticipation regarding the future of this critical alliance.

Michelin’s performance in MotoGP will be closely scrutinised against that of other tyre manufacturers. By benchmarking themselves against competitors, Michelin can identify areas for improvement and capitalise on their strengths to maintain a leading position in the market.

The renewal or non-renewal of Michelin’s contract will have ripple effects across the MotoGP ecosystem, influencing teams, riders, and fans alike.

Understanding the potential impacts and preparing for various scenarios will be essential for all stakeholders involved in the sport.
