Brazilian national team striker, Neymar Jr, has spoken about his performance at the 2022 World Cup. He admitted that he was worried that he would not be able to appear again at the 2022 World Cup due to an injury that struck him at the start of this event.
Yes, unfortunate fate befell Neymar on the first matchday of Group G against Serbia. Neymar at that time suffered an ankle injury.
Luckily, Brazil still managed to win with a score of 2-0 over Serbia. However, the injury kept Neymar out of the remaining two matches in the group phase.
The Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) star must undergo a recovery period because he is targeted to return to appear in the round of 16. Luckily, it all went smoothly so that Neymar could play against South Korea in that round.
In that match, Neymar managed to lead Brazil to a 4-1 win over South Korea. The 30-year-old player contributed one goal through the white point in the 13th minute. The other three goals were scored by Vinicius Junior (7′), Richarlison (29′) and Lucas Paqueta (36′).

This former Barcelona player said that he always thinks of bad things every night. “When I was injured, I had a very difficult night,” said Neymar, quoted from Sky Sports, Tuesday (6/12/2022).
“I’m always thinking a million different things and I’m afraid I might not be able to play in this World Cup again,” he continued. Even so, Neymar revealed the factors that allowed him to recover from his injury.
He said that the full support of his family and teammates made him confident to get up. “But I have the support of all my colleagues, my family and I try to get strength that cannot be found,” concluded Neymar.
