Gerard Pique believes Barcelona’s impressive record of reaching six consecutive Copa del Rey finals will never be matched by other teams, even Real Madrid. He believes the incision is one of Barca’s best achievements in recent years.
Thursday (28/2) early morning WIB, Barca successfully defeated Madrid with a score of 3-0 at the Santiago Bernabeu. Blaugrana won 4-1 on aggregate and successfully reached the final and the opportunity to win the trophy again.
Barca is one of the most successful teams in the Copa del Rey. They successfully reached the final in the last five seasons, and won four of them.
Barca Copa del Rey champions in 2014/15, 2015/16, 2016/17, and 2017/18. They failed to win the trophy when they were beaten by Real Madrid in the final of the 2013/14 season.
Pique believes the record will not be matched by other Spanish clubs.
Will not happen again
Pique believes the Copa del Rey is a difficult competition. The Copa del Rey continues to be considered easy, but he guarantees that the competition is very difficult. As a result, he believes Barca’s positive nicks will be difficult for other teams to match.
“Reaching the sixth final [in the last six seasons], I think what we have achieved is something that will never happen again in the Copa del Rey,” Pique stressed to the international Goal.
“We have won a lot in the past few years, but we still want champions again. It feels special to be able to qualify for the finals. Actually this is more like a habit for us than anything else.”
