PSG President Nasser Al-Khelaifi firmly told the La Liga giants Real Madrid that the team’s mainstay star, Neymar, would not be sold in the near future.
Neymar is reportedly being targeted by Madrid next summer. Besides Madrid, Neymar is also often associated with his former club, Barcelona.
Madrid want the presence of Neymar to replace Cristiano Ronaldo who was released to Juventus last summer.
Al-Khelaifi Affirmation
Al-Khelaifi who brought Neymar from Barcelona at a cost of 222 million euros in the summer of 2017 also mentioned that the bomber will survive at the Parc des Princes.
“Neither Real Madrid nor any club in the world need to contact us to ask about Neymar or other players,” Al-Khelaifi told Marca.
“Real Madrid knows very well that Neymar is not for sale and that the player will not leave PSG this summer. We have a fantastic relationship with Neymar and his father and will last a long time,” he added.
Al-Khelaifi Praise
Furthermore, Al-Khelaifi also praised Neymar who is currently pulling out of the green field due to an injury recovery.
“He [Neymar] is an extraordinary player and person. He shows great ability to sacrifice himself and has a great character to fight this new injury,” Al-Khelaifi said.
“He has been recovering in Paris, also at Barcelona and now he is in Brazil. It has been estimated since the beginning by the club doctor,” he said.
