Real Madrid leads 5-2 over Celta Vigo

Real Madrid won 5-2 from Celta Vigo in the La Liga match at the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, Monday (13/9).

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema scored a hat trick with goals scored in the 24′, 46′ minute and a penalty kick in the 87′ minute.

Meanwhile, winger Vinicius Junior also scored for Real Madrid in the 54th minute.

Midfielder Eduardo Camavinga, who made his Real Madrid debut in that match, scored one goal in the 72′ minute, as reported by Eurosport.

The surprise was presented at the beginning of the match which was held at the Santiago Bernabeu. Real Madrid’s goal, which was escorted by Thibaut Courtois, broke in the 4th minute through the action of Santi Mina. Celta while winning 1-0.

After several opportunities, Real Madrid managed to equalize in the 24th minute. Karim Benzema became a Madrid hero with his goal scored with the help of Federico Valverde.

The draw only lasted for less than 10 minutes. Precisely in the 31st minute, Madrid’s goal was broken again by Celta Vigo. This time the goal came from the action of Franco Cervi. The position also changed to 2-1 for Celta.

Madrid tried to retaliate. However, they were unable to equalize, let alone reverse, until the referee closed the first half. Celta while winning 2-1.

It didn’t take long for Madrid to score the equalizer. Los Merengues’ face was saved again by Benzema, who this time capitalized on an assist from Miguel Guiterrez to score. 2-2.

And finally, Real Madrid took the lead! The moment that Los Merengues fans have been waiting for was produced by Vinicius Junior in the 54th minute. Benzema also had a hand in contributing his assists.

Celta immediately reacted. Five minutes after Madrid’s goal was created, Celta got a golden opportunity from Iago Aspas’ action which successfully made Courtois work hard. His shot was blocked by the Belgian goalkeeper.

In the 66th minute, Carlo Ancelotti entered Eduardo Camavinga to replace Eden Hazard. The decision proved effective, as Camavinga scored on his debut for Los Merengues! 4-2.

Penalty! Madrid were awarded a penalty six minutes from the end after Vinicius Junior was tackled in the Celta penalty area. Benzema was trusted as the executor and recorded his third goal. In the end, Madrid won by a landslide score of 5-2.

This victory took Real Madrid to the top of the Spanish League standings with 10 points from 4 matches, ahead on goal difference from Valencia and Atletico Madrid. Celta Vigo are still slumped in the relegation zone, occupying 18th position with 1 point.
