Reasons Angel Di Maria wants to stay at Juventus. Angel Di Maria seems to have given an indication to the Bianconeri -nicknamed Juventus- that he wants to stay in Turin for the upcoming 2023-2024 season.
For your information, Angel Di Maria joined Juventus in the summer of 2022. The Argentine passport player is contracted for one season, which means his time together with the Bianconeri will end in June 2023.
Angel Di Maria also admitted that he was very happy to be in Turin with Juventus. The 35-year-old player also said that his family felt the same way as him.
“I am happy here and so is my family,” said Angel Di Maria as quoted from the Juventus website, Thursday (11/5/2023).
Furthermore, Angel Di Maria revealed that he was currently negotiating a new contract with Juventus. However, he still can’t confirm in detail for now regarding his future.
“We are in talks with the club,” said Angel Di Maria.
Angel Di Maria emphasised that he wants to focus on bringing Juventus to the 2022-2023 Europa League final. The former PSG player also said that the current Bianconeri squad is one of the best since he came to Turin in July 2022.
“We know there have been a lot of problems this year but I have been part of a brilliant squad since day one. Right now I am only focused on Sevilla.”
Apart from that, Juventus failed to win after being held by Sevilla 1-1 in the first leg of the 2022-2023 Europa League semi finals. Furthermore, the Bianconeri will visit Sevilla’s headquarters at the Sanchez Pizjuan Stadium, Spain, on Friday (19/5/2023) to play the second leg.
