Regarding Mo Salah’s contract extension, Liverpool have given up?

Liverpool continue to be plagued by feelings of anxiety after their main striker, Mohamed Salah has not yet signed a new contract with the Reds.

In fact, the Liverpool camp hopes to immediately secure the signature of Mohamed Salah’s contract extension.

The club’s management hopes that a new agreement with the Egypt international’s agent will be reached soon

Salah is back in strong form this season. he recorded 28 goals and 10 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool.

However, Salah’s contract expires in June and the Merseyside giants are finding it difficult to meet the former AS Roma striker’s salary.

Europe’s top clubs continue to monitor Salah’s situation at Anfield. Barcelona and Juventus are reportedly ready to accommodate Salah if he leaves.

If there is no new agreement with Liverpool, Salah will become a free agent.

Although according to Football Insider, reported by Sportsmole, Sunday (27/3/2022), Liverpool owners still have hopes of signing Salah with a new deal. They also believe Salah will lower his salary demands.

Salah is thought to want a £500,000-a-week salary to stay afloat. That can not be separated because he has proven himself as one of the best players in the world and helped Liverpool win the Premier League title and Champions League.

In total Salah scored 153 goals and 57 assists in 239 appearances in all competitions for Liverpool since joining from AS Roma in July 2017.

His arrival to Anfield immediately had a significant impact. Liverpool coach Jurgen Klopp made Salah one of the deadliest attacking trio a few years ago until now alongside Sadio Mane and Roberto Firmino.

The presence of several new strikers did not make his position evicted as Liverpool’s main striker. Although he had experienced a decline last season but this time he returned to his best form.

Liverpool star Mohamed Salah is also reportedly to be considering joining Barcelona next season. Salah is claimed to be an alternative to Erling Haaland if Barcelona fail to seize the striker.

Spanish media Mundo Deportivo claims Barcelona’s attempts to sign Haaland from Borussia Dortmund have been hit by a salary request problem. Manchester City and Real Madrid are believed to be the clubs who will succeed in getting Haaland.

But Barcelona coach Xavi Hernandez is not worried if Haaland is not anchored at Camp Nou. Because Xavi already has a candidate to replace Haaland, namely Mohamed Salah. Xavi is said to like Salah’s style of play. Besides being able to play as a winger, the Egyptian player can also be played as a False 9.
