Rivaldo Believes Neymar Could Leave PSG for Barcelona

Barcelona legend Rivaldo believed that Neymar could leave Paris Saint-Germain before summer transfer deadline.

Neymar is reported unhappy with life at PSG and wants a return to Camp Nou.  The good news for Barcelona is that no other teams is fighting to sign the Brazilian forward with being unable to pay his huge transfer fee.

“There are rumours that Neymar could stay at PSG, this season, but I’m convinced that there will come a good offer for him before transfer deadline,” Rivaldo

“The player has shown he is unhappy and the club is willing to negotiate for the right price, so there’s still a strong chance he will leave. I expect Neymar and his agent are trying to find solutions to avoid another season in Paris and the club won’t want to keep him in his current situation.

“I’m confident that club and player will reach an agreement soon that suits both parties, transferring the player to another big European club. The question is, which one? As I’ve said before, I’d love to see him back at Barcelona.” Rivaldo added.

Neymar left Barcelona for PSG for a world record fee in 2017. He left his old club in order to escape the shadow of Lionel Messi, according to reports in Spain. During his time he played 58 matches and scored 51 goals.

The 28-year-old forward will return to training this weekend after missed PSG’s entire pre-season. However, the PSG fans will BOO Neymar this season if the transfer doesn’t happen. It’s really about the cash in hand for Barca at the moment and PSG would understandably want to get back the cash they spent.

When asked about Neymar’s future, PSG head coach Thomas Tuchel has swerved talk on Neymar’s future and instead enthused about his reshaped midfield.

“There is nothing new [to report] about Neymar. For me, he is our player, we train with him. It’s a question for the the club and Neymar. For me, he’s in the dressing room, he’s training, he’s still my player. There is nothing new.” Tuchel said.
