Ronaldo and Real Madrid both loss after ‘part ways’

‘Part ways’ by Cristiano Ronaldo and Real Madrid proved to be detrimental to both parties.

Ronaldo chose to leave Juventus this season after feeling no longer needed by Real Madrid President Florentino Perez. Media Spanyo AS, CR7’s departure was apparently not only a big loss for Los Blancos, but also for the Portuguese star.

For Madrid, Madrid’s sluggish performance seen from a number of statistics, especially note that the team’s average goal has decreased.

Madrid’s goal percentage so far is only 39.4 percent this season which still leaves six more games. That figure is a decrease compared to the 2013/2014 season which reached 50.8 percent.

In the 2014/2015 season, Madrid’s average goal reached 45.8 percent. In the 2015/2016 season it was 51.1 percent. Next in the 2016/2017 season the Los Blancos goals average reached 48 percent. Last season, the average Los Merengues goal was still at 43.1 percent.

This season, Madrid even failed to score 83 goals from a total of 137 golden opportunities that should have been fruitful. Gareth Bale, who actually became a goalscorer for Los Blancos, also has unsatisfactory statistics, the average goal is only 28.5 percent. Bale only scored six goals from 15 golden opportunities he created.

So far no one can beat Ronaldo’s average goal for Madrid in each season. Between the 2013/2014 season until 2017/2018 Ronaldo’s average goal is in the range of 47 percent to 55 percent.

In the 2013/2014 season, Ronaldo scored 55.1 percent. In the following season, he packed an average goal of 55.2 percent. In the 2015/2016 season, CR7 was recorded as having an average goal of 47.2 percent.

In the 2016/2017 season, the Portuguese national team player recorded an average goal of 48.7 percent. The average goal in the last season in Madrid was also quite impressive, 47.7 percent.

Madrid’s ability to score even more blunt goals in the Champions League this season. Los Blancos scored 14 goals in eight matches in the competition. The average goal is only 28 percent of the 25 golden opportunities they created.

That percentage is far different when there is Ronaldo. Madrid’s average goals in the Champions League are 54.9 percent in 2013/2014, 43.2 percent in 2014/2015, 43.2 percent in 2015/2016, 45.9 percent in 2016/2017, and 42.6 percent in 2017/2018.

The same feeling was felt by Ronaldo after moving to Juventus. The 38 years old players have so far only scored 28 goals from 38 appearances with Juventus in all competitions.

That number is a decline since 2013/2014 until last season. In the 2013/2014 season CR7 scored 51 goals, 2014/2015 61 goals, 2015/2016 51 goals, 2016/2017 42 goals, and 2017/2018 44 goals in all competitions.

The average conversion opportunity to a goal recorded by Ronaldo also declined from 1.6 percent to 0.6 percent with Juventus.

In the end, Ronaldo and Madrid both failed to advance further in the 2018/2019 Champions League. Madrid were first eliminated from the round of 16, while Juventus, which was reinforced by CR7, were eliminated in the quarter-finals.

Interestingly, Los Merengues and La Vecchia Signora were both eliminated by Ajax Amsterdam from the Champions League this season.
