The results of Inter Milan vs Napoli in the 2023-2024 Italian League are already known. The match at Giuseppe Meazza Stadium, Milan, Italy, Sunday (17/3/2024), ended with a score of 1-1.
Inter Milan took the lead in the 43rd minute through Matteo Darmian. However, Napoli managed to equalize the score in the 81st minute via Juan Jesus’ header.
Both teams immediately stepped on the gas from the start. Buying and selling attacks occurred because Inter and Napoli were both playing openly.
In the first half, Inter Milan dominated the game. They controlled the ball and put pressure on the Napoli defense.

In the 41st minute, Napoli designed a promising attack. Traore was then able to head the ball in the middle of the penalty box. However, the ball went wide to the right side of the Inter goal.
After that, the match went flat. Because both teams closed their areas tightly and were able to ward off attacks. Even so, Inter opened the scoring in the 43rd minute! Alessandro Bastoni’s low cross from the left was met by Darmian’s shot. The 1-0 score lasted until halftime.
After the break, buying and selling attacks occurred again. Lautaro threatened in the 47th minute but Meret saved the ball. The Italian goalkeeper returned to action by parrying Dimarco’s hard kick in the 53rd minute.
Napoli finally threatened Inter’s goal in the 56th minute. However, Khvicha Kvaratskhelia’s hard and accurate kick was caught by Yann Sommer. Hamed Traore also threatened in the 70th minute but his shot went far off target.
The visiting team was able to equalize the score in the 81st minute. Starting from Kvaratskhelia’s corner kick, Bastoni’s header fell in front of Jesus who headed straight into Sommer’s goal!
Both teams tried to find the winner in the remaining time, but the efforts were in vain. The match ended tied 1-1.
This result makes Inter collect 76 points from 29 matches but they are still safe at the top of the 2023/2024 Italian League standings. Meanwhile, Napoli is in seventh position with 45 points.
