Singapore Open 2022 Results: Chico Eliminated in First Round

Chico Aura Dwi Wardoyo was eliminated in the first round of the Singapore Open 2022 after falling in front of Brian Yang, 12-21, 17-21, Wednesday (13/7).

Chico had started the match well and managed to lead 5-1 and continued to be 6-2. But after that Brian Yang successfully replied and won nine consecutive points to close the first game interval with an 11-6 advantage.

After the interval, Brian Yang continued to be able to maintain the advantage over Chico. Brian Yang’s four consecutive points put him in an eight-point lead at 17-9.

Brian Yang then took game points at 20-11 and finished the game on his second game point. Score 21-12 for Brian Yang in the first game.

Entering the second game, Chico trailed 0-5 at the beginning of the game and continued to be 3-8. The second game interval closed with a score of 11-6 for Brian Yang’s advantage.

After the interval, Chico was able to win four consecutive points and came closer at 9-11. Chico’s efforts to pursue Brian Yang continue.

Chico was only one point away at a score of 14-15. But after that Brian Yang could get four straight points so he could lead 19-14.

Chico had won three consecutive points to make the score 17-19 but Brian Yang replied with two points while ensuring victory in the second game.

In the other match, Zachariah Sumanti/Hediana Julimarbela had to admit the superiority of Supak Jomkoh/Supissara Paewsampran in a match that lasted three games.

In the first game, Zachariah/Hediana managed to win with a score of 24-22. But in the second game, they lost 15-21 so the match continued to the deciding game.

When in the deciding game, the duel was tight at the start. However, Zachariah/Hediana managed to sprint with a difference of five points, 11-6 at the interval.

After the interval, Jomkoh/Paewsampran’s performance got better. They can catch up with Zachariah/Hediana points. Scores of five consecutive points led the Thai doubles to lead 13-12.

Although Zachariah/Hediana could have equalized several times at 13-13 and 14-14, Jomkoh/Paewsampran could shoot off and lead by three points at 18-15.

Jomkoh/Paewsampran finally won the match with a score of 21-18 in the deciding game.
