There was no Tammy Abraham’s name in the Chelsea squad when the team fought Manchester City in the 2020-2021 FA Cup semifinals on Sunday (18/4/2021). Even though Abraham was in a fit state, he was not called by Thomas Tuchel.
Abraham’s failure to bring him to the Chelsea vs Man City match made rumors that Tuchel wanted to release the English striker even tighter.
Tuchel did not include Abraham even though in that match each team was allowed to bring nine substitutes and make five substitutions. So it appears that Tuchel is openly starting to banish Abraham.
Fortunately, Abraham is already awaited by other clubs who are ready to accommodate him if Chelsea really want to make the 23-year-old striker in the summer transfer market 2021.
The club that is ready to accommodate Abraham is Leicester City. Based on a report from an expert on the European transfer market, Fabrizio Romano, Leicester is one of the Premier League teams interested in getting Abraham’s view.
“Leicester is one of the teams interested in recruiting Tammy Abraham. He is one of Leicester’s targets if Chelsea really sells him (Abraham) next summer, ”said Fabrizio Romano, quoting his Twitter account @FabrizioRomano, Sunday (18/4/2021).
Abraham himself has not played for Chelsea for a long time. Since his ankle injury in February 2021 yesterday, Abraham has never been played by Tuchel again.
Abraham was only used as a bench warmer when he was called up to a Chelsea match. However, he was never played.
Tuchel seems quite satisfied with Chelsea’s current front line, which is already star-studded. Call it like Timo Werner and Olivier Giroud.
It’s interesting of course whether Abraham is really going to Leicester or not. With his prowess and young age, Abraham is actually pretty much ogled by the top clubs in the Premier League.
