Victoria Lee’s death was conveyed by her sister who is also an MMA fighter, Angela Lee, on Sunday (8/1/2023). Angela uploaded a photo of Victoria Lee on Instagram and explained that her sister passed away on December 26 last year.
“On 26 December 2022 our family experienced something no other family has experienced. Hard to say this. Our Victoria passed away,” wrote Angela. However, in the upload, Angela did not reveal the cause of her sister’s death.
Angela Lee, who currently holds the ONE Championship atomic weight belt, only advised everyone to take care of their families and loved ones. “Please give us your prayers and respect for our family during this most difficult time. And please, check on your loved ones. Keep checking on them. Give them a hug and tell them how much they mean to you. You never know,” concluded Angela.

Meanwhile, UFC fighters left sentences of sorrow and sympathy in Angela’s uploads. “Sending love to all the family,” wrote former UFC featherweight champion Max Holloway. The same thing was done by the female fighter who holds the UFC flyweight champion belt, Valentina Shevchenko. “My deepest condolences to you and your family, Angela,” Shevchenko wrote. Victoria, who was born in Waipahu, Hawaii, on May 17, 2004, is considered one of the most potential young fighters in MMA today. The Chinese-Singaporean-Korean girl made her ONE Championship debut in 2021 against Sunisa Srisen. At that time, she managed to overthrow Sunisa Srisen via rear-naked submission in the second round.
