The 2014 Formula One Singapore Grand Prix is all geared up for September 12 at the Marina Bay Street Circuit. It features the only night-time street race in the World as well as in the Formula One history and is also the first street circuit in Asia. The first race held at the Marina Bay Street Circuit was factually the 15th round of the 2008 Formula One World Championship.
11 teams comprising of 22 superstars of Formula One are going to race in this event. Amongst them are Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg of Mercedes AMG Petronas, Kimi Räikkönen and Fernando Alonso of Ferrari, Sebastian Vettel and Daniel Ricciardo of Infiniti Red Bull, Felipe Massa and Valtteri Bottas of Williams, as well as Romain Grosjean and Pastor Maldonado of Lotus, Jenson Button and Kevin Magnussen of Mclaren Mercedes, Adrian Sutil and Esteban Gutierrez of Sauber, Nico Hülkenberg and Sergio Pérez of Sauber, Jean-Eric Vergne and Daniil Kvyat of Toro Rosso, Kamui Kobayashi and Marcus Ericsson of Caterham, and Jules Bianchi and Max Chilton of Marussia.
The first two practice sessions are scheduled for September 19 while the third practice session as well as the qualifying session will take place on September 20. As per the drivers’ standings, Nico Rosberg of Germany is at the top with 220 points, Lewis Hamilton of UK at second place with 191 points, Daniel Ricciardo of Australia at third place with 156 points while Spaniard Fernando Alonso is at fourth place.
Twelve races of 2014 FIA Formula One World Championship have taken place so far since the start of this year. Nico Rosberg has been the winning driver in four races, Lewis Hamilton in five races while Daniel Ricciardo in three. The thirteenth race is going to take place in Italy on September 7 while Singapore Grand Prix is going to be the fourteenth in series. The hot favorites in The 2014 Formula One Singapore Grand Prix are hence these three superstars; Nico Rosberg, Lewis Hamilton and Daniel Ricciardo.
More than 80% of the available ticket inventory has already been taken up. Amongst the seven ticket categories sold out are, the Connaught Grandstand, Esplanade Waterfront Grandstand, Combination Package A, Combination Package B, Combination Package E, three-day Zone 4 Walkabout and Friday Zone 4 Walkabout tickets. With limited inventory remaining for three general ticket categories, fans now have a last chance to purchase the Bay Grandstand, three-day Premier Walkabout and Sunday Pit Grandstand tickets.
