2019 MotoGP champion, Marc Marquez, experienced a fall incident in the first free practice session (FP1) of MotoGP Thailand. Marquez fell and looked difficult to get up. He also had to kneel in pain after the incident. In fact, the back of the Spanish rider’s motorcycle was destroyed when “rolling” on the track.

In the free MotoGP Thai training session which was held on Friday (10/04/2019), Yamaha driver Maverick Vinales came out as the fastest. Maverick Vinales recorded the fastest time, which is 1 minute 30.979 seconds in a session that was held for 45 minutes. Fabio Quartararo and Marc Marquez became the second and third fastest riders.

Until the session left 26 minutes, no other racer has shifted Marquez’s position as the fastest racer. Meanwhile, Valentino Rossi was second fastest in the session with about 20 minutes remaining.

Afterward, another Yamaha rider, Maverick Vinales was second in the fastest rider, followed by Fabio Quartararo and Rossi. Marquez is still the fastest racer with 10 minutes to go.

Marc Marquez suffered a crash when he entered the 40-minute walking session at bend 7 of the Buriram Circuit.

Marquez was then helped by marshal to leave the track, then transported to the hospital using the ambulance provided. “Marc Marquez had a big accident as you have all seen. Fortunately, he was fine,” Honda manager Alberto Puig was quoted by Crash.

“He went to the medical center and then the hospital to check everything. They did an MRI and everything looked fine,” he said. Furthermore, Alberto Puig explained that Marc Marquez’s physical condition had bruises on his back and legs.

The 52-year-old man also insisted there was nothing to worry about Marc Marquez. “He will undergo treatment, leave (in FP2), and try to continue his plan,” said Alberto Puig. In addition, he continued, the probable cause of the incident experienced by Marc Marquez was dirty tires.
