The 2023-24 Summer Transfer season is catching heat with multiple big money transfers taking place and some already on the cards. While the most talked about transfers of Declan Rice and Lionel Messi are already a hot topic, rumors of Tottenham Striker Harry Kane’s potential transfer to Bayern Munich has got the internet buzzing.
The England skipper, who has been playing with Tottenham Hotspurs since 2018 might be moving to Bayern Munich as the two clubs are in talks to come to common grounds for finalizing the transfer. Previously, Bayern had made a £70 million bid for the England skipper, but Tottenham rejected the offer, which prompted Bayern to rework on an improved deal for Kane.
Harry Kane has been in prime form over the past 6-7 years and has been pleasing fans and critics of the industry with his performance, as a result of which he started getting hefty signing offers post 2016, which ultimately led to him signing with Tottenham Hotspurs in 2018. Though the latest offer from Bayern Munich hasn’t yet been officially confirmed by sources from either of the parties, critics are anticipating a transfer offer of nothing less than £80-85 million might seal the deal.
This isn’t the first time that a club has approached Tottenham with a transfer deal, Bayern Munich has arrived just in time, because this summer sees Kane’s contract with the Totts expiring. Earlier, it was Manchester United, who had approached Tottenham Hotspur in 2020 with a promising transfer offer for Kane, but the club said no because the striker’s contract with the club had a “No get-out” clause till the validity of the deal.
Now the big question is that will the Tott’s Chairman Daniel Levy really let Kane go at last? Will he be willing to let the club’s leading goal scorer move to some other club whilst being in such amazing form for the club? Harry Kane has been the top goal scorer for Tottenham with 280 goals in 435 games.
As for the clubs that are vying to bring in Harry to their sides, Bayern Munich for now is the front runner, however, it is expected that Manchester City might just chip in to try and get England’s all-time top scorer, with 58 strikes for his country, to sign for them this summer.
