Honda Officially Collaborates with Team Liquid

Automotive manufacturers are increasingly reaching the Esports domain. After Mercedes-Benz with SK Gaming, and Audi with Astralis. Now a Japanese company, Honda will anchor in the Esports realm together with Team Liquid.

This collaboration between two giants from different backgrounds will make Honda’s name on Team Liquid’s official jersey as soon as possible.

On the other hand, Honda will provide an exclusive Honda Civic for Liquid, which unfortunately does not say what quantity of cars are given. What was gained from Honda from this collaboration in addition to branding was a collaboration of content series focused on the division LoL, Fortnite, and Dota 2 from Team Liquid.

This aims to increase exposure from Honda in the Esports field, of course. The content collaboration will precisely produce 6 videos titled “Level Up”. Content that contains the other side of the personal lives of Team Liquid professional athletes, to the coach and management of Team Liquid. It will cover how Team Liquid members will travel in the face of the hardships in the Esports world. Team Liquid will also campaign for driving safely and comfortably.

This collaboration has the possibility to be established in a long time, because the uniforms of all Team Liquid members will have the Honda logo attached.

Co-CEO of Team Liquid also gave his statement about his latest collaboration with one of the world’s automotive giants.

“My first car was a green Honda Accord. I associate safety, reliability and style with the Honda brand to date.

I was also excited to share those memories with an official partnership with Team Liquid.

We will work with Honda in terms of content, activation and more. We are jointly honored to collaborate with prestigious international brands who believe in things like we do in this esports ecosystem, “he continued in Liquid’s official statement.

Phil Hruska as Media Strategy Manager of Honda America revealed his desire that Honda be the best choice for millennials.

“Extending our footprint in game functionality is only the beginning of our partnership with Team Liquid and Twitch when we were involved with gamers to increase the millennial interest in the Honda brand.

The Honda Civic is very important for Honda, getting more first-time car buyers than other car brands … “continued Phil Hruska.

Cooperation between an Esports organization and a well-known automotive company is not the first time this has happened.

There have been dozens of automotive brands entering into Esports, including BMW, Audi, Mercedes-Benz and even Alfa Romeo.
