Hyatt Regency Aruba Resort Spa & Casino has announced the complete renovation of its 357 rooms, including 24 suites, along with its Regency Club. Located on Aruba’s Palm Beach on 12 acres of beachfront property, the $21 million redesign was led by Atlanta-based design studio Blur Workshop. According to Travel Agent Central, while modern accommodations are being introduced, the redesign maintains the island’s Caribbean and Dutch Colonial architecture accents. Casino & other amenities: The island property includes Hyatt Regency Casino, which features 13 gaming tables, 221 slot machines, 19 video poker machines and a casino bar serving hand-rolled cigars and exotic drinks. Hotel amenities include nine restaurants and bars, a full-service spa, 8,000-sq ft, three-level pool complex, 24-hour gym, business center, more than 33,000 square feet of event space, two lighted tennis courts and more.
Among the changes to the guestrooms are new furnishings all done in soothing, cooling hues, rugs, pillows and bedding, headboards, lounging furniture, 65” TVs, motion light sensor lighting, glass-faced fridge, custom-made drapery and more. Also, completely reimagined are the guestroom baths, which have been enlarged and feature quartz countertops, and in keeping with the neutral colour palette, white oak vanities complemented with brushed nickel fixtures and Kohler accessories. Additionally, the newly installed mirrors about the vanities are backlit and feature integrated digital clocks. Regency Club Lounge relocation:
The Regency Club Lounge has been relocated from the top floor of the resort to the ground level. The new location provides guests with easy access from the casino, beach and pool. The venue is exclusive to guests of the ninth floor Club level. General Manager and area VP of Hyatt Regency Aruba, Carlos Cabrera, said in a statement… “Hyatt Regency Aruba consistently raises the bar when it comes to service, experience and amenities in Aruba. Our new room product is incomparable to any other resort on the island and will be a welcome enhancement to our valued guests,” according to HM Hotel Management.
