At the beginning of the second half, Indonesia also immediately displayed an attacking game. However, when approaching Thailand’s penalty box, Indonesian players still often made mistakes, thus wasting opportunities.
Meanwhile, Thailand tried to appear calm and slow in building attacks. However, there was no significant threat from Thailand at the beginning of the second half.
However, from the 60th minute to the 70th minute, Thailand was able to control the game, while Indonesia attacked more through counterattacks.
In the 90+2 minute, the referee made a controversial decision after Thai player Jhetsaphat Kuanantanom slammed the ball after being declared a violation against Arlyansyah, but did not get a yellow card.
Until the match ended, no additional goals were scored. Indonesia won 1-0 over Thailand and emerged as the champion of the 2024 AFF U-19 Cup.
This achievement is the second title won by Indonesia in the AFF U-19 Cup after in the 2013 edition, Indra Sjafri also brought the Indonesian U-19 National Team to become champions.
