Real Madrid have prepared another name that will be brought to the summer transfer market next year if they fail to land Kylian Mbappe from Paris Saint-Germain. The president of Real Madrid, Florentino Perez, has targeted Paris Saint-Germain striker Kylian Mbappe as the main target in the summer transfer window next year. Kylian Mbappe is considered a suitable player as the other Galacticos in Real Madrid’s star-studded squad. Florentino Perez’s desire to bring Kylian Mbappe to Santiago Bernabeu next summer is not without reason.
Their newer players on the front lines brought to the transfer market this summer, Eden Hazard and Luka Jovic are considered to have failed to meet expectations. Eden Hazard, who was bought for 100 million euros, has only scored 1 goal in 7 matches in all competitive events with El Real. While Luka Jovic who was predicted as the successor of Karim Benzema actually appeared sluggish because he had not been able to score a goal from 9 matches that he had played.
In addition to the two, the existence of Karim Benzema which began to be eaten by age became Perez’s consideration to bring Mbappe. Benzema can also be sold by Madrid at the end of the 2019-2020 season to make way for new players in the squad with Mbappe as the main target.
But El Real’s move to bring in the 19-year-old striker was not without obstacles. Mbappe owner, Paris Saint-Germain has sold Mbappe worth 300 million euros (around Rp 4.6 trillion). The price will be outside of Madrid’s reach, given that they have also been involved in the transfer market this summer.
For this reason, they have considered another name as a backup option. Los Blancos aiming for Tottenham Hotspur striker, Harry Kane, as another option if they fail to get Mbappe.
Harry Kane has started the start of the season with five goals in nine Premier League matches in the 2019-2020 season. The British bomber could leave Tottenham Hotspurs this summer if the team led by Mauricio Pochettino did not qualify for the Champions League next season. According to reports, Kane is believed to be worth 200 million euros in the market.
Although relatively expensive, these costs can be considered by Perez to guarantee goals for his team. The 26-year-old striker is undoubtedly his quality as an accomplished striker. Kane was named the 2018 World Cup top scorer with 6 goals.
He also helped become the Premier League’s top scorer in two consecutive seasons namely 2015-2016 and 2016-2017 with 25 goals and 29 goals respectively. With Spurs, Kane recorded a total of 173 goals from 265 appearances in all competitive events.
