Bayern Munich has achieved bad results in the last few matches. This also made Bayern’s mainstay striker, Harry Kane, unhappy because according to him, Thomas Tuchel’s team was slumping because of poor connections between players.
Since the start of the season, Harry Kane has appeared quite productive at Bayern Munich, scoring 24 goals in 21 German League matches in 2023-2024. However, he failed to score in the last two matches with Die Roten when they lost to Bayern Leverkusen and Lazio.
Bayern coach Thomas Tuchel also said that Harry Kane was unhappy with the current situation of his teammates because of a lack of connection and a lack of ball supply. He said his team had to provide better service to the England national team striker.
“Harry looks after himself. He doesn’t need me. He’s not happy with the connection in the game. Neither are we,” said Thomas Tuchel, quoted from Goal International, Saturday (17/2/2024).
Furthermore, Tuchel admitted that he rarely saw Harry Kane having difficulty scoring goals in matches. However, he still praised Harry Kane as the world’s top player with the goals he scored.
“I’ve rarely seen such a difference between training and a match. The way he scores goals in training, the way he takes his chances, it’s incredible. It’s world class. But we rarely see that in games. He acts like a captain. Everything is fine with him,” he said.
The defeat to Bayer Leverkusen means Bayern Munich is five points adrift of the leaders of the 2023-2024 German League standings. They also need a revival in the second leg of the 2023-2024 Champions League against Lazio if they want to advance to the quarter-finals.
“Even so, we only lost in the first leg and have not yet been eliminated from the Champions League. We are all committed to turning things around,” continued Tuchel.
“In my experience, that is only possible on the training pitch, that’s what we did yesterday. “We will give everything to gather the energy we need to turn our fortunes around,” concluded Tuchel.
