Leverkusen Wins Bundesliga, 43 Unbeatable Matches, Alonso Makes History!

Bayer Leverkusen directed by Xabi Alonso officially won the 2023-2024 Bundesliga after crushing Werder Bremen 5-0. Leverkusen made history and went 43 matches without losing.

The 29th week of the 2023-2024 Bundesliga match between Bayer Leverkusen vs Werder Bremen at the BayArena Stadium, Sunday (14/4/2024) marked a new history. Bayer Leverkusen successfully won the Bundesliga for the first time. This historical achievement was confirmed by the team known as Die Werkself via a landslide 5-0 victory over Werder Bremen.

Leverkusen win over Werder Bremen was confirmed by goals from Victor Boniface (25′ pen.), Granit Xhaka (60′), and Florian Wirtz’s hat trick (68′, 83′ 90′). Thus, Leverkusen reaped 79 points in 29 Bundesliga matches during 2023-2024.

Alonso’s troops can no longer being caught up with Bayern Munich and Stuttgart, who are in second and third place with identical points collections, 63. When Wirtz secured a hat trick in the 90th minute with a horizontal diagonal kick, the BayArena was enveloped in red smoke. The Bundesliga champion party then broke out at BayArena. This is Leverkusen’s first Bundesliga title. They also broke the dominance of Bayern Munich, the champions of the German League in the previous 11 seasons.
